Consider Participating in Prurigo Nodularis Research

Seeking individuals with prurigo nodularis (PN) who are interested in a research opportunity for a potential treatment option to manage their symptoms.

What is Prurigo Nodularis (PN)?

Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic skin condition that may cause intense itching that’s almost impossible not to scratch. It can be so bad it may cause trouble sleeping or difficulty handling daily life. It may also cause painful, stinging lesions, bumps, or rash, mainly on the arms, legs, back, chest, and/or abdomen.

Participate in Our STOP PN Study

What is the STOP PN study?
The purpose of this study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of a study medication taken once a day by mouth to help manage PN symptoms.
How long is it?
The study will last for 48 weeks + follow-up.
What is expected of me?
If you are selected for the study, you'll take the study medication once daily for 48 weeks plus follow-up. The study team will check in with you regularly (up to 17 visits, some virtual!) and occasionally ask for lab samples. You'll also use a smartphone or tablet (yours or one we provide) to answer three quick questions each day about your experience.

Here’s the truth

People of color make up approximately 40% of the US population, but there's a real lack of diversity when it comes to our communities participating in clinical research.

Lack of clinical research diversity is an issue because, without it, we may not know if new drugs and devices work across populations; there may be differences in safety or how well they work for us.

While clinical research requires a commitment, your involvement can pave the way for advancements in healthcare. Participating in a study may involve more time than standard treatment, including regular visits to the study site, additional blood tests, and procedures. Depending on your location, you might have to pay for travel, housing, transportation, or childcare. It's also possible to experience some physical discomfort associated with the study. However, your contribution can make a significant impact on the future of medicine, potentially benefiting you and many others in your community.

Taking control of your health is powerful, so we challenge you to raise your hand. When you participate in clinical research, you make a move toward changing the future of health for people of color. It’s long overdue – but together, progress can happen NOW.
